about us

The Aboriginal word “Paratea” means Pretty Flower, which perfectly describes the setting in which our Preschool sits.

Our exceeding service is located in Frankston South surrounded by untouched bushland. We are an independent Preschool run by a Committee of parents who are responsible for the management of our Preschool. We are one of the last remaining independent kindergartens in the Frankston Council Region. This allows us to run our preschool environment and program to meet the specific needs of our families and children.

At Paratea we aim to create a welcoming, friendly and positive learning environment for the children, staff and families. We strive to form mutually respectful relationships with families to ensure the best outcomes and learning experiences for each child. We enjoy creating play spaces that encourage diversity, investigation and discovery. We value the environment as the third teacher and plan for our preschool to be engaging for all learning capabilities whilst incorporating the natural environment to promote sustainability and a love of nature.
